Who doesn’t love high tea? I absolutely love a beautiful high tea. A luxurious feeling of complete indulgence. When asked if we would like to come along to the Children’s High Tea at Om Nom Kitchen located at the boutique Adelphi Hotel how could I say no! Aria who loves playing tea parties at home was so excited. In the eyes of a three year old it was a real life “Tea Party”. So off we headed into the city on a perfectly sunny cold winters Melbourne day to indulge our bellies.
Om Nom’s Children’s high tea menu has been redesigned to cater for tiny bellies and small appetites. Head Chef Darren Jones designed the children’s high tea menu with his four year old daughter Vienna in mind. Vienna personally made sure there was plenty of chocolate on the menu. And what a great selection she chose, those chocolate lollipops were Aria’s favourite!
INDULGENT HIGH TEA
Once seated with your glass of sparkling, tea/coffee or cocktail whatever tickles your fancy us adults can enjoy the regular Indulgent High Tea menu. Consisting of Cream cheese and smoked salon mousse cones, Prosciutto & mustard mayo bites, Goat cheese & beetroot savoury cheese cake, Matcha, raspberry & yuzu gateaux, White chocolate mousse, passionfruit jelly & banana sponge and Handmade chocolate truffles, just to name a few of the scrumptious treats.
CHILDREN’S HIGH TEA
For the tiny bellies on their own plate they are presented with a yummy selection of croques petit-monsieur, mini puff triangles and other various savoury treats to begin. Whilst for sweets think fairy bread meringue, chocolate lollipop and cherry log cake to name a few. To quench their thirst there is a selection of drinks from babyccinos to hot chocolate to juices. Aria was served her own special pretty teapot and teacup filled with a delicious raspberry concoction much like a mocktail. Whatever it was it was a hit, she even mastered holding the tea cup like a real princess!
We left with the fullest of bellies feeling completely indulged. Aria’s tea party dreams certainly came true. Children’s High Tea at Om Nom Kitchen is the perfect occasion to celebrate a fun day out in the city, a birthday or for your little lady to experience that “real life tea party”.
