Decked out with a touch of L.A (literally with neon signs) and Hollywood backdrop. Sit back and indulge yourself whilst listening to the uber cool beats of Biggie Smalls
On Saturday, after a day of carnival fun at Luna Park we popped over for a visit to California Burgers. Welcomed in store by the lovely Rosie who made us feel at home with our two young daughters. She told us all about the beginning of California Burgers and their travels tasting burgers allover California. Which has now almost become their second home! Now who wouldn’t want to call that work research! After numerous trips they have definitely mastered that California burgers taste.
Anyone who has travelled to California has no doubt eaten In and Out. We were huge fans on our travels along with Johnny Rockets! Back here in Melbourne California Burgers is by far the closest we have tasted to that same Cali taste!
Hand smashing patties in store daily since 2009, a previous souvlaki shop that is now California Burgers. All ingredients are cut fresh, american style cheese and a special house made “pink mayo”. Keeping the burger menu sweet and simple, it’s still a tough choice deciding what to chose! Each burger is uniquely named after a different part of California. We left our burger choice up to Rosie who spoilt us a selection of burgers.
The L.A.X Burger is hugely popular (my husbands fav!). Made with two beef patties, two times american cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and pink mayo. Want to go all out but with four beef patties and four times cheese, the Muscle Beacher is yours! My personal favourite the East L.A. One beef patty, american cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, pink mayo and with the addition of housemade Vatos Locos Hot Sauce for a little mild spice. Chicken fans you will not be disappointed with The Compton Burger. I do love a chicken burger so I highly recommend! And for the the breadless burger lover the Calabasas Burger wrapped in lettuce will have you sorted. Also on the menu you will still find souvlaki and a selection of tacos.
Along with a mouth watering burger you cant forget about the fries. California Burgers fries o-m-gee our girls smashed those down. The fries certainly did not disappoint.
So if you find yourself craving a burger, perhaps a quick family meal out, a long day out shopping or wanting something to eat at 2am in the morning after a night out be sure to head to California Burgers. You certainly wont be disappointed. Uber Eats is also available. We cant wait to visit you again
